Scottish Cup, Hurlford visit Forthbank

After last weeks draw against Ayrshire outfit Hurlford United we now welcome the Scottish Junior Cup champions to Forthbank for the Scottish Cup third round replay.

Last weeks fixture seen the Binos come from a goal down a force the fixture to a replay, thanks to a well worked goal from Chris Smith. Think it was fair to say the Scottish Junior Champions were unlucky to not win last week but the determination of the Binos after Chris Wedderburns’ sending off to get back on level terms think we need to say well done to the team especially Darren Smith and Ross Forsyth who stepped into the breach to lead the team while the club sought a new manager and assistant.

After what can only be called a lucky escape for the Binos we now have to focus on Saturdays game where our new boss Stuart McLaren and his assistant Martyn Corrigan take the reins for their first outing as Stirling Albions management team.  Good Luck! With Craig Wedderburn being sent off last week he will miss the replay but Sandy Cunningham is returning from suspension from cup duty and will be available for selection.

I would like to take this chance to yet again say well done to the Stirling Albion board for the pricing for Saturdays fixture and echo their thanks for agreeing to allowing under 12’s in for free.

The prices for admission to Forthbank this week is

Adults £10

Concessions £5

Under 12’s FREE!
